of images captivated me as an evening sun filtered through

| THE GREAT CHESAPEAKE BAY SCHOONER
RACE has become a November tradition on the Bay. With
over 40 historic schooners participating, it is a rare
chance to step back in time and imagine oneself living
in the age of sail. After a night in Fells Point, the
race has its start in Annapolis and a finish at the Thimble
Shoal Light off of Norfolk.
This painting originated in concept aboard the
Schooner Mistress. It was my good fortune to have the
pleasure of joining the crew of this vessel and experiencing
the Bay as few have seen it.
